The Curatorial Program for Research (CPR) is pleased to announce its open call for curators to make an exhibition in the newly opened project space CPR² in Brooklyn, New York. The present OPEN CALL is open only for curators with close ties to CPR, previous residents, collaborators and hosts.

Curators are encouraged to apply with a proposal of a solo exhibition. The artist of choice should be from any of the Nordic or Baltic countries visited by CPR for its past residencies. The selected curator and artist will receive a fee in order to carry out investigation, commissions, logistics, and production and CPR will also cover some other expenses, such as travel and accommodation.

The ideal project is one that can be carried out with a small budget, adapts to CPR’s new exhibition space in Brooklyn and follows a limited time frame. Bearing in mind that all curators within the CPR network have strong curatorial vision and an amazing understanding of the art of our times, we are expecting to be surprised, intrigued and challenged by the proposals.

Considering CPR’s desire to contribute to a sustainable art world, we also stress on simple proposals that can be thought of and carried out within the circumstances.

DEADLINE IS JUNE 20th and the selected proposal will be presented in SEPTEMBER 2022.

For more information and to apply, see our webpage.

This project is realised with generous support from The Nordic Culture Fund.
