AIR Open Call 2022, Aomori Contemporary Art Centre

ACAC have started open call for Artist in Residence Program this year. We welcome not only visual artists, but also performing artists, curators, researchers or any other experts who engaged in artistic practice.

This year, we have set up two ways to participate in our program.

1) Non-Japanese nationals living outside of Japan who will stay and work at ACAC (selecting from one to seven 2-week terms): 2 people

2) Residents of Japan who will stay and work at ACAC (selecting from one to seven 2-week terms): 2-3 people

This artist in residence program is scheduled from September 14th to December 20th, 2023.

The deadline of submission by email is Sunday, April 23 (Sun), 2023, at 17:00 JST (GMT+9:00).

Then, the guest judge, HIROTA Midori (artist, cultural anthropologist) and ACAC curatorial team will be screening based on the submitted application documents.
