Oksasenkatu 11: Open Call 2020/ Site-specific art
We’re inviting an artist or a group of artists to send proposals for a solo exhibition in August 2020 at Oksasenkatu 11. The theme of the open call is site-specific art and it’s open to any medium. For this slot it’s possible to construct during the month of July also, to reinterpret the gallery space in its’ entirety into an installation or a series of installations. The gallery will be available for the artist between July and August including the hanging, the opening hours and taking down. Exhibition time is in August. Please consider already when applying, that we need the space back in as it was before the show.
Application instructions:
We accept applications only via e-mail. Please send the application containing a single Pdf-file (max. 10MB) as an attachment to galleria.oksasenkatu11@gmail.com . Title the e-mail and the file OC_2020 + your/ group name. Deadline for the applications is 10.9.2019 23:59. We’ll let the applicants know as soon as possible or by 30.9.

Oksasenkatu 11 is offering the space, advertising and help for applications for funding and housing for artists coming from outside of Helsinki and abroad during the exhibition. Please mention in your application if you need help to find housing. Available for the exhibiting artist are video projection equipment, and basic tools for the installation. The artist is responsible for the exhibition costs, hanging, gallery attending and taking down the show. Opening hours are decided by the artist. Additional events during the exhibition time are arrangeable. Please note there should be silence between 22-07 weekdays and 22-09 weekends. We’d like you to consider the neighbours at other times also.
