The Narva Art Residency (NART), in cooperation with the Architecture and Urban Planning Department of the City of Narva, is organizing a third competition to create a new large-scale installation or sculpture. This time, the location will be outside the city center, on the edge of the Pähklimäe district. The object is expected to enrich public space with spatial and artistic value, with a particular focus on the use of light.

PINHOLE focuses on spatial situations in post-traumatic times, addressing the persistence and adaptation of military architectural heritage in the context of social and political transformations.

The short film premiered on Estonian National Broadcasting TV channel ETV2 on January 3 and it was created for the anniversary of the Narva Art Residency which has now been operating for more than 10 years. The 15-minute short film can be viewed on the Jupiter webpage and NART channels. It helps to introduce NART to both domestic and international audiences, but also has a broader mission to explain the concept of creative residencies and their role for practicing artists.
Tallinn Art Hall organised an art competition to find the best conceptual proposals for artworks for the renovated main building on Freedom Square. From among the works submitted by the deadline, the jury selected the design submitted under the motto Soup Kitchen ‘Art’, authored by artist Dénes Farkas.
