From 6 November, Kumu Art Museum presents the new international group exhibition "Who Is Afraid of Motherhood?" in the Great Hall. On Saturday, 7 November, we invite you to explore the new exhibition as a part of opening programme at artist- and curator-led exhibition tours in Estonian and English, a panel discussion and a workshop. The programme includes the following events:

The group exhibition "A chair, a door, a rose, a spoon" curated by Kati Saarits and Hannah Segerkrantz will be on view from Tuesday, October 27 at EKA Gallery.  Curatorial tours will take place on Friday, October 30 at 6.30 pm (in Estonian) and at 7.15 pm (in English). That evening, the exhibition will remain open until 10 pm part of the 112th anniversary celebrations of the Estonian Academy of Arts. The exhibition will remain open until November 22. The group exhibition "A chair, a door, a rose, a spoon", curated by Kati Saarits and Hannah Segerkrantz, stems from their shared interest in practices that move between craft, applied arts and design. Gathering works from artists, designers and makers based in the Baltics and Finland, the exhibition places contemporary pieces in relationships with selected objects from local museum collections.

The exhibition by graphic artist Elle May Palumäe captures the moment just before the decision to move forward or turn back KUNSTIAKEN, a gallery specialising in applied art and printmaking in Tallinn’s Old Town, presents in the display window the work of Canadian-born Estonian printmaker Elle May Palumäe.

Marju Bormeister’s “Born to Be a Master” Opens a Door into the Artist’s World In Marju Bormeister’s paintings, we encounter familiar characters, moments and everyday settings — yet each time they appear in a new guise. Her painted world is immediately recognisable, while at the same time constantly shifting and revealing new layers. Every work carries the artist’s attentive gaze upon life as it is lived: upon people, encounters and the situations that make up our everyday existence.

On Friday, August 28 at 5:00 PM, the opening of Kaido Ole’s exhibition Krt will take place at Temnikova & Kasela Gallery. That same evening, Johanna Ulfsak’s pop-up exhibition will open at Peetri 11, with access limited to the first 50 guests at the opening.

Mery Crystal Ra's artist talk at the exhibition "Royal Visit to the Golden Waterfall" will take place on Thursday, August 13 at 5 pm at Tokko&Arrak Gallery, Teachers' House, Raekoja plats 14 on the topic "Mery Crystal Ra's global transformation of paintings into interdisciplinary, human kinetic sculptures and monumental objects". The talk will be attended by art historian and artist Kaire Nurk, choreographer, dancer, poet and critic Sveta Grigorjeva, interdisciplinary artist and interior architect Tea Tammelaan and interdisciplinary painter, light-human kinetic sculptor and monumental artist Mery Crystal Ra. The artist talk is dedicated to painter Silvia Jõgever and art historian Reet Varblane.  

The Bootmaker. Solo exhibition by Paul Rodgers  12.08-12.09.2026 Paul Rodgers’ solo exhibition “The Bootmaker” will be open at gallery Pallas from Wednesday, 12 August. Spanning two floors of the gallery, the exhibition brings together works created specifically for the show as well as pieces from earlier periods of the artist’s career. The main hall on the gallery’s ground floor will feature a series of works created by Rodgers over the past year specifically for the exhibition in Tartu. Comprising sculptural objects, photographs, videos and texts, the series explores the artist’s personal memories and the influences of growing up in post-war England. Rodgers also examines the impact these emotional experiences and memories have had on the artist.

Until 9 August, the international group exhibition “Triumph of Galatea: Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” is on view in the Contemporary Art Gallery on the 5th floor of Kumu Art Museum. On Saturday, 8 August, we will celebrate the exhibition with a special finissage programme featuring the following events: 13:00–14:00 Curator’s Tour of the exhibition "Triumph of Galatea: Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", Anders Härm, in English

On Friday, July 31st, the Pärnu Artists’ House is holding an Open House Day!  On this day, artists will open the doors to their studios, giving visitors an opportunity to peek behind the scenes of the creative process. You can also purchase unique artworks directly from the creators on-site: paintings, ceramics, books, and much more. Of course, our exhibitions will also be open! Schedule: 3:00 PM  Meet the artist Pusa at her solo exhibition “And Then Came the Dove…” in the Project Space  4:30 PM  Guided tour of the painting exhibition “Unfamiliar Taste” by Maria Kallau and Hanna Vinter, led by artist Maria Kallau and curator Kirke Kits  Music will be provided by Plaadimeri Records and Tallamalla Killaz.
