The authors of the exhibition live in the North-East Estonia, near Russia – in the region known as Ida-Viru County. What kind of art is created by the new generations of this land? What is its substance, and why? How do young artists interpret our time through their art? All of this will be unveiled in the exhibition "The Young Unknown". Unknown is a mysterious companion. It’s with us in every moment, highlighting our constant movement. The future is a closed door, hiding the unknown which we all are yearning to glance at.

The world of art is like a place where we, constantly come across the unfamiliar, trying to solve secrets and hidden meanings that don't always reveal themselves right away.

It’s crucial to find a path towards new kind of understanding. The very act of being creative is like holding a key that unlocks a door to the unexplored and sheds light to the hidden corners of our minds that have been sealed for a long time. Facing the unknown can bring us unimaginable amazement.

Let us introduce you to a group of young artists from Ida-Virumaa and take a look towards the endless horizons of the unexplored. The Young Unknown is like a mysterious scene where the curtain will be raised by the curator and expert in the unknown, whose name itself is a secret – the Unknown Artist Eduard Zentsik Through the veil of mystery, he leads us to discoveries waiting for us just beyond the threshold of this exhibition.
