Kim? Contemporary Art Centre is excited to invite international artists, curators and writers to apply for its first ever short-term summer residency in Riga. The residency will host two art professionals (artists, curators, writers, producers, etc.) simultaneously for a six-week period (1 June - 13 July/ 17 July – 31 August), welcoming four residents in total over the course the summer.
“The Secret Life of Words” is a relaxed writing course that combines creative writing with self-awareness. It’s a course where you really allow yourself to write. And be surprised.

Estonian Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) announces open call to find a graphic designer for the Estonian pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale, opening in April 2026. Estonia is represented by artist Merike Estna.
Key design responsibilities:
We are proud to share two open calls that are focused on a specific groups of artists. The call for Estonian artists is for those who enjoy spending time with school kids. The deadline is on the 25th of February. The second call is for Ukrainian artists to participate in residencies all over Estonia, and that finishes on 28th of February.
The 9th Artishok Biennial, taking place from 20 February to April 20, will once again bring together ten artists and ten writers to kindle both the art field and art writing. This time the selection of participants is more locally focused, but the event itself offers a broader scope, presenting more time to engage with the works as well as greater diversity in the art-activated sites.
