Open Call for Estonian and Ukranian artists

We are proud to share two open calls that are focused on a specific groups of artists. The call for Estonian artists is for those who enjoy spending time with school kids. The deadline is on the 25th of February. The second call is for Ukrainian artists to participate in residencies all over Estonia, and that finishes on 28th of February. 

NART is presenting a new ambitious project in Narva, initiated with the support of the British Council. We are inviting three Estonian artists to participate in a commissioned art project based on various education practices. Our goal is to increase the availability and presence of contemporary art in Narva and Narva-Jõesuu.

– Application deadline: February 25, 2025.
– School residencies in Narva and Narva-Jõesuu: March 31 – April 4, 2025.
– Transportation and accommodation costs are covered.
– Exhibition of artworks takes place in the second part of May, 2025.
– The scholarship for each artist is 1000€.
– The budget for production costs is 700€.

Note that the opportunity is open only to Estonian-speaking artists who are available to be present in Narva during the week of March 31 – April 4. The selected artists are chosen based on the strength of the applicant’s previous work and experience.

Open call for Ukrainian artists, writers, curators, critics, musicians, dancers and other cultural workers. During 2025 – 2026 members of the Estonian creative residencies network will host artists through a funded residency program, giving artists opportunities to make use of the unique networking possibilities at the participating organizations, such as visits, workshops, talks and programs.

This open call presents 8 different 2-month-long stays in different Estonian residencies, including NART. Artists will receive 1800€ stipend total and 350€ travel allowance. The deadline for applications is on 28 February 2025. Check out the website here: https://www.loore.ee/copy-of-ukraine-23-24
