Exhibition “Symbiosis”

Join us for the opening of the exhibition “Symbiosis” at Okapi Gallery on Friday, August 29 at 6 pm!

Kultuuriöö 2025 (Culture Night), subtitled Me and the Machine, brings art projects collectively titled Symbiosis to the Okapi Gallery. In this three-part exhibition, artists Erik Alalooga (EE), Gelb Divov (LT), Rait Prääts (EE), and Temuri Hvingija & R_R projekt (EE) create a dialogue between technology and creativity, offering the opportunity to experience contemporary art in an interdisciplinary way and to interpret the relationship between humans and machines.

The project Mixed Reality focuses on exploring the potential of modern technology in Rait Prääts' work, creating a dialogue between contemporary technology and traditional craftsmanship. In collaboration with Lithuanian artist Gleb Divov, innovative mixed reality elements have been added to Prääts's works, allowing users to experience the sculptures interactively through their smartphones.

The art project M_M_M_M is an innovative cross-media collaboration between photographer Temuri Hvingija and metal artists Rait Siska and Risto Tali, with guest artists Erik Alalooga and Gleb Divov also contributing their work. The project combines photography, metal art, and sound, exploring the relationship between humans and technology and transcending traditional art techniques, linking the past with the future.
