Narva Art Residency's newsletter in May 2024

Dear friends of NART,
It finally feels like spring! Our calendar of events in May is full of workshops, exhibition openings, and many exciting things!  We look forward to new residents. In the middle of the month arrive an artistic duo of Kristiin Hanimägi and Joel Freeman (US) as well as the freshly selected Augustas Lapinskas (LT) who will be doing the Narva urban installation residency NAIR. 

We are glad to welcome all to the opening of the two solo exhibitions on 8 May at 19:30. Liina Siib's "Atlas of Amphibian-ness" tells the story of Narva as an amphibious place. Kaisu Koivisto's photo-collage exhibition "Passages" shows the spaces of the Kreenholm manufactory with exciting transformations.  Both artists have previously been at NART as artists-in-residence. The opening of the two exhibitions is part of the European Day 2024 programme.
