The art project #AHA satellite program in Italy

23.09.2025

The art project #AHA is a cross-border project that uses ceramics as one of the oldest and most archaic means of expression to initiate a discourse on the topics of attitude, values, courage, self-confidence and boundaries. When are boundaries crossed, how can one practise or demand respect and tolerance, or how can one find balance in human interaction?

Attitude negotiates diverse contents and is a bond to what people relate to, either individually or collectively. Their references can reveal social, ethical and aesthetic aspects that resonate with the mental, sensual, political or emotional. In this sense, the participating artists seek creative traces in turbulent social times with looming crises and wars, global changes and uncertainties. They want to be active as artists, to do something and to stand together in an increasingly fragile Europe.

The second project by #AHA Attitude.Asenne.Haltung.Attegiamento.Hoiak included a symposium from September 17-20, 2025, which took place as a satellite programme at the La Casina ceramics studio in Figline e Incisa Valdarno, Tuscany, Italy.

As part of this, there was an experimental firing of the works completed on site, the opening of the exhibition, an introduction to the theme of the project and presentations by the artists on 20 September 2025.

Attitude is more than an art project.
It is a movement that connects us all.

The following artists took part in the satellite programme:

Karin Putsch-Grassi (Italy)
Christa Zeitlhofer (Austria)
