No Discipline Limited (Hong Kong SAR China)
Deadline: Dec 30. ‘Foreign’ does not only describe something from abroad but also relates to objects and conditions that appear unfamiliar, unaccustomed and unexplored. As the start of a dialogue and exchange, ‘Something Foreign’ brings about inspirations from things external to one’s original experience, simply out of the unknown.

 33 Officina Creativa (Toffia, Italy)
Deadline: Dec 30. 33OC Artist in Residency program is a community & space where international artists can share places, experiences and sensibilities. The aim of the residency is to challenge perceptions about how Art is made and integrated in everyday life by devising unconventional scenarios for introducing ideas into the public realm.

KinderKunstLabor (St. Pölten, Austria)
Deadline: Dec 31. For young audiences in particular, the quality, event-based character, and topicality of contemporary art productions by international artists have the capacity to set in motion both individual educational processes and socially relevant reflections.

Villa Filanda Antonini (Villaorba, Italy)
Deadline: Dec 31. Villa Filanda Antonini - VFA - is an artist residency space conceived and directed by Giulio Feltrin and supported by Arper Feltrin Foundation. The latter is a nonprofit organization established at the initiative of the founding family of the design company Arper.

ALTER- (Chandolin, Switzerland)
Deadline: Dec 31. ALTER- is a collaboration among artists, researchers and local inhabitants that responds to environmental crises in high-mountain communities. It is an annual program that takes place from the beginning of June to the end of August in the Val d’Anniviers in Valais, Switzerland. 

Arte Utile (AU) Residence (Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia)
Deadline: Jan 1. raum AU is a physical and mental entity that as a potential public institution presents an appropriate addition to any urban environment – to coordinate the cities non-governmental production and to support active citizenship. 

Humboldt Forum Berlin (Berlin, Germany)
Deadline: Jan 6. The Ethnological Museum and Museum of Asian Art invite visual artists and designers to engage with the exhibition “Discovering the West” in the galleries on North Africa, West and Central Asia. 

PARADISE AIR (Matsudo-city, Japan)
Deadline: Jan 6. Paradise Air has held the Longstay Program under various themes and with different application requirements. The 10th edition of the programme (2023) – under the theme ‘Puzzling Poly+Semy’ – is open to all people of all nationalities working in the arts field.

MGLC - International Centre of Graphic Arts (Ljubljana, Slovenia)
Deadline: Jan 7. Ljubljana, a UNESCO City of Literature since 2015, offers two one-month residencies (in June and October-November 2023) for writers at the Švicarija/Swisshouse Creative Centre, which is part of the International Centre of Graphic Arts.

ZARYA Artist-in-residence (Vladivostok, Russia)
Deadline: Jan 8. ZARYA Artist-in-Residence program based on ZARYA Center for Contemporary Art in Vladivostok is a project aimed at provision of support to professionals in the field of contemporary art that welcomes artists, curators and researchers regardless of their preferred genres and techniques, as well as age and place of of birth/current residence.

The National Centre for Writing (Norwich, United Kingdom)
Deadline: Jan 9. The National Centre for Writing in Norwich, England is partnering with the RECIT network and the Translation in Motion consortium to offer a month-long residency in Norwich in May 2023 to one or two literary translators working from English into the languages of the countries of the Western Balkans – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Salem Art Works (Salem, NY, United States)
Deadline: Jan 9. Founded by Anthony Cafritz in 2005, Salem Art Works supports emerging and established artists dedicated to creating new, progressive work, and promotes understanding and appreciation of contemporary art within the region. 

 Arteles Creative Center (Haukijärvi, Finland)
Deadline: Jan 11. Arteles Creative Center in Finland is one of Scandinavia's largest and most international residency centres. Arteles runs annually 4 residency programs, welcoming over 140 selected artists per year. 

Good Hart Artist Residency (Harbor Springs, United States)
Deadline: Jan 11. The Good Hart Artist Residency offers 10–21-day residency stays to visual artists, writers, and composers at any stage of their career. Tucked into the woods along the “Tunnel of Trees,” a Scenic Heritage Route, residents can walk into the village of Good Hart, enjoy Lake Michigan and the nearby sand dunes, and explore Northern Michigan’s inland lakes and wetlands. 

RIXC (Riga, Latvia)
Deadline: Jan 15, Oct 15. RIXC announced that the call for the first RIXC Art, Science & Techo-Ecologies Residency is closed with the selection of residency artist Juan Duart (Finland). The call is still open for the fully funded second and third residencies until January 15, 2023, and October 15, 2023. 

Dune Shack AIR (Provincetown, United States)
Deadline: Jan 15. The Provincetown Community Compact, Inc. (The Compact) was established in 1993 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization by artist Jay Critchley. It is organized as a community-building and philanthropic organization to support living artists and the vitality of the arts community. 

Pilchuck Glass School (Seattle, United States)
Deadline: Jan 15, Dec 18. Pilchuck Glass School fosters and educates a worldwide community that explores the creative use of glass in art and design. The serene campus in Stanwood, Washington, is nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains amidst a working tree farm an hour north of Seattle. 

The Anderson Center at Tower View (Red Wing, United States)
Deadline: Jan 16. The Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, founded in 1995 on the Tower View estate in rural Red Wing, Minn., has renovated and restored historic buildings to support working artists and the creative process, including developing twenty-two active studio spaces and three galleries. 

ARCUS Project 2023 IBARAKI (Moriya, Japan)
Deadline: Jan 20. ARCUS Research is a self-funded program that offers an uninterrupted time and contemplative environment for creative experimentation, in-depth fieldwork, and research for practitioners and professionals in art and other cultural fields, including artists, curators, researchers, university educators, or writers. 

Otvoreni Kulturni Forum (Cetinje, Montenegro)
Deadline: Jan 20. Otvoreni Kulturni Forum is offering a month-long residency in Cetinje, Montenegro in 2023 within the Translation in Motion project to two literary translators working from Montenegrin into the languages of the EU countries.

Cité internationale des arts (Paris, France)
Deadline: Jan 22. Ever since the Cité internationale des arts was founded in 1965, artists have been coming from all over the world to take part in their artist-in-residence programmes. The Cité encourages cross-cultural dialogue and provides a place where artists can meet with their public and other professionals.

 Artnoise (Lagos, Nigeria)
Deadline: Jan 23. Artnoise is a platform which promotes the creation of Afro-inspired arts by Independent Artists. Artnoise celebrates Africa’s multiculturalism and diversity, old and contemporary arts, culture, and style from all across the continent.

Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen (Innsbruck, Austria)
Deadline: Jan 29. Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen is a post-graduate center for production, research, exchange in the fields of visual arts and art theory. Within the framework of the International Fellowship Program for Art and Theory, the Künstlerhaus provides a platform that facilitates the development and production of artistic and art-theoretical projects in a critical context. 

Craigardan (Elizabethtown, United States)
Deadline: Jan 30. Craigardan is a nonprofit arts organization and educational working farm that leverages collective creativity for social good. They bring people together for place-based and interdisciplinary learning, providing creative residencies, courses, and events that span diverse artistic and knowledge disciplines in order to foster curiosity, inquiry, and collaboration.

minus20degree (Flachau, Austria)
Deadline: Jan 31. minus20degree provides a stage for radical artistic interventions in the alpine winter landscape and makes them freely accessible to the public. minus20degree provides a laboratory, with snow as the primary resource for all expressions of art and architecture.

Kunstraum Schwaz (Schwaz , Austria)
Deadline: Jan 31. The city of Schwaz in Tyrol, Austria will be granting a residency to professional visual artists, media artists and curators in 2023. It is an invitation to slow down one’s working process, to elaborate and delve more deeply into the development of a project. 

Out Of The Circle (Cairo, Egypt)
Deadline: Jan 31. Out Of The Circle is a visual arts organisation based in Cairo, Egypt. Their mission is to support, connect and promote young visual and new media artists in Egypt with their peers in North Africa and abroad to let their stories be heard through their art. 

The Åland Archipelago Guest Artist Residence (Kökar, Åland, Finland)
Deadline: Jan 31. Åland Archipelago Guest Artist Residence is an artist residency located on Kökar Island in the archipelago between Finland and Sweden. Kökar is a part of Åland, which is an autonomous, Swedish-speaking region of Finland. 

 IRB Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)
Deadline: Jan 31. Art and scientific research have several things in common. Artists and researchers investigate the nature of our presence in the world, push boundaries in knowledge and technology, and venture into the unexplored. 

Medea Electronique (Marousi, Greece)
Deadline: Feb 1. Medea Electronique was formed in 2006 in Athens, Greece, inspired by a play on words between Medea and Media. Comprising of a wide range of individual artists working collectively under the Medea Electronique name, the group shares a predisposition for innovation in the performing arts. 

Cultivate (Montegiovi, Italy)
Deadline: Feb 1, May 1. Cultivate is an evolving collection of interdisciplinary artists, writers, and researchers driven by investigations of landscape, place, and the commons. Projects include experimental and practical art explorations that wrestle with the qualities, perceptions, and layers of experience that inform and expand notions of landscape. 

Sant Andreu Contemporani (Barcelona, Spain)
Deadline: Feb 1. SAC International Curatorial Residency Programme 2023 is the residency programme at Barcelona’s Sant Andreu Contemporani, in collaboration with Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació and Institut Ramon Llull and open to international curators. 

 VOJEXT S+T+ARTS (Valencia, Spain)
Deadline: Dec 23, Feb 3. VOJEXT is a European project that aims to design, develop, validate and demonstrate robotic systems for industry. S+T+ARTS is a European Commissioned initiative that supports and awards the most cutting-edge works of transdisciplinary European science, art and technology. works. 

Davvi Centre for Performing Arts (Hammerfest, Norway)
Deadline: Feb 10, Sep 10. Davvi - Centre for Performing Arts is offering professional performing artists the possibility to apply for the Artist in Residency program. In the residency they accept all project within contemporary performing art. Both laboratory projects as well as nearly finished performances can be accepted.

Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design (Bloomington, United States)
Deadline: Feb 15. The Eskenazi School of Art Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a 4-6 week period for the McKinney International Art and Design Residency between 1 February - 1 May 2023. 

Vermont Studio Center (Johnson, United States)
Deadline: Feb 15. Founded by artists in 1984, Vermont Studio Center (VSC) has fostered creativity through community, collaboration, and quiet reflection during in-person residency for thousands of visual artists and writers from across the globe. 

Hypatia in the woods (Shelton, United States)
Deadline: Feb 15, May 15, Nov 1. Hypatia-in-the-Woods provides and maintains Holly House, a residential cottage for women of all creative talents, in a serene environment free of the distractions of everyday life.

The musée du quai Branly (Paris, France)
Deadline: Feb 19. As part of the Sound Art Residency, the museum will finance a work of sound art that may enter its permanent collection. The work produced during the residency may be a transdisciplinary piece, and not strictly a work of sound art. 

Little Islands Festival (Sikinos, Greece)
Deadline: Feb 19. The 5th Little Islands Festival, starting from Sikinos, invites new media and performing arts artists to submit proposals that engage with ecology, anthropology, and science in the enduring dialogue about the relationship between humanity and nature.
