Reimo Võsa-Tangsoo [ 1 | 2 ]

11.03.2020

The starting point of the present exhibitions is the scene from the feature film Blow Up (directed by Michelangelo Antonioni) where mimes are playing tennis on a tennis court without rackets and the ball. For me, this scene serves as a beautiful image for the constructed reality that is surrounding us as well as examines the credibility and gravity of our daily activities. Current exhibition is the first one in the series of exhibitions where I focus on the relationship between reality/virtuality and related various aspects.

In his artwork, the artist uses interactive elements and the viewer plays an important part in creating the meaning of the artwork where iconic images, language, politics and innovative technologies are combined. Among his recent art projects are Immediate Gratification, Test System 1.1 / There is Nothing to See, Nostalgia / Desires, ... As Close to the Bone as I Could Get, and to Hell with the Consequences.... Reimo Võsa-Tangsoo is an artist who lives and works in Tallinn. He has obtained MA degree in the faculty of fine arts at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
