“The Silent Grammar of Decay” by Miina Barrera Pinochet

14.07.2025

Miina Barrera Pinochet solo exhibition “The Silent Grammar of Decay” at Thule Koda sun exhibition room from 12 July–31 August 2025. Open Mon-Sat 11 AM–7 PM and Sun 11AM–6 PM NB! The grand opening and tour of the exhibition will take place on July 12th at Thule Koda at 6.00–7.00 PM.

Admission to the opening on the day of the Saaremaa Art Festival is free for everyone! The exhibition focuses on the slow processes of decay and transformation – sedimented memories and layers of soil. Though the roots have now been torn up and home has become undefi ned, old traces, interruptions, and connections persist – vague, yet still seeking contact. Decay here is not disappearance but a shifting form – a quiet grammar through which to create a new language. This solo exhibition consists of the artist’s earlier works that have not previously been shown together. It is a slow interlude – a documentation of one cycle before the beginning of the next.
